The number of poor people in Bali in September 2013 increased to 4.49 percent or as many as 186 530 people.

The poverty rate was up 0.54 percent compared to the data in March 2013 that only 3.95 per cent, or just 162 510 people.

The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics (BMKG) Region III Denpasar, Bali, issued a warning about bad weather at this time of the rainy season. Residents asked to guard against rain and strong winds.

The warnings also take in the waters around the island, with predictions of rough seas and high waves affecting all coastlines, so for those who love fishing on the sea take rain check guys.

BMKG expects that for the next three days, high probability of heavy rainfall in central and southern areas of Bali , with temperatures ranging from 22 to 31 degrees Celsius, wind speed between 8-42 miles per hour.

Meanwhile, up to 2.5m wave is expected in the northern region of Bali, and up to 5m in the south.
