Been playing for awhile with codeigniter, i decided to convert some of my project website which was built on joomla to codeigniter, while it is challenging i found some difficulties in porting the site. One of the problem is when is use active record function like(), it seem this function is only working if you query a word only.
For example if you search “bali” on sentence “bali update” it will return true but when i search “bali update” it return false.

The work around is to use php function rawurldecode

$search = rawurldecode( $this->input->post('search') );
$this->db->like('search', $search);
$rows = $this->db->get('category')->result_array();

Few years ago i worked at a travel agent company, i was in charged of maintaining their local server and website. i just bought my self a media storage that i need it to store my files that filled up my laptop, i’m so excited when i received the storage but when i plugged it into my laptop and try to create a new folder it reject it say that the media is write protected, after searching a while in the net i found the solution.

1. Open Registry Editor ( Start Menu > Run , type : Regedit, then enter/click OK)
2. locate the following key/entry :
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevicePolicies
3. If you see WriteProtect on the right side, double click it and in value data type 0 or delete WriteProtect or you can also delete key StorageDevicePolicies. next is to refresh (View > Refresh)
4. unplugged the storage/ USB Flash Disk and plug in again and try to copy / write something to the disk
